back home for like a minute and away again!

So Disney was amazing. We had a fabulous time with my family and I'll be posting a mega DIsney post soon (most likely Tuesday), but I can't right now because I'm posting from a Sleep Inn hotel in Baltimore, MD. I'll get back to why I'm here at the hotel in a minute.
So this morning I defended my dissertation!! And total modesty aside, haha, I ROCKED it out!! I was so proud of myself because I went into my defense so incredibly nervous and eventually the nerves subsided and I did what I do best which is talk about technology I love. And I was successful! So I'm now officially "Dr. Rysavy" - go me!! :)
Back to why I'm in Baltimore instead of home in Wilmington, Delaware. As a thank you for the countless, and I mean countless, edits that my Mom made on my dissertation paper, 100+ pages, I gifted her with a cruise. We are crusing buddies by the way - we absolutely love to cruise - this will be our third time. Tomorrow morning, at the unholy hour of 7 AM we are flying to Miamo to catch a ride on the Norwegian Sky ship to the Bahamas!
I won't be posting while we are away since I left my laptop at home but I'm sure I"ll take a zillion pictures and everything will be back to regularly scheduled posting on Tuesday!
