Brandywine Creek State Park: Alison and Jeremey: the Pictures
Monday, September 01 2008
Over one hundred years ago, the beautiful rolling hills of Brandywine Creek State Park were home to wildflowers, songbirds, deer, and cows. Gray stone walls, which were built in the late 1800s, divide the Park's 933 acres. Originally a dairy farm, the Park was once owned by the du Pont family and later became a state park in 1965. Brandywine Creek State Park became one of the first parks in the nation to be purchased with Land and Water Conservation Funds.
190-year-old tulip poplar trees surrounded the amphitheater where Alison and Jeremey exchanged their vows in front of family and friends. The sun, which had been hidden behind cloudy skies for days, finally broke through with glorious sunshine just in time for their ceremony. We had a bit of excitement when the Park staff informed us that there was a 500 plus pound Bull on the loose - evidently it escaped from an event some two weeks before - but there weren't any sightings during pictures after the ceremony. That was probably just as well, seeing as the Bridesmaids had red dresses! And the party afterwards? These guys know how to party! Karaoke was a major highlight and was provided by Echo and Tom of Echoes of Karaoke (302.507.6758).
Alison and Jeremey,
Thank you so much for the honor and privilege of documenting your day! From the moment we met, you have always made me feel welcome. I have never met a sweeter couple and the love you two share is so evident! From the way Jeremey looks at you, Alison, to the way Jeremey grins when you make him laugh. I wish you all the love and happiness in the world.
